This is regular road maintenance work performed by the City.

How is it ok to dump piles of chipped wood into a wetland? This material decays and causes BOD. This is in a watershed that already has low oxygen issues. How is this allowed per our CAO?

Thank you, I agree that this is a BMP issue that public works should address. It may be useful to speak to their water resources staff; I had a discussion about this with Christian Berg (who lives right near where this occured), he could most certainly provide some input/guidance. I appreciate this.

Thank you for your report. Operations and Maintenance crews cleaned as much debris as possible from the area on 2-9-18.
